"Suddenly the bandits find themselves free from everything they’ve gathered before encountering the heroes."

Typical PC behaviour! :D

Interesting post. Somehow it's nice to read about Forgotten Realms game for a change. After all, it's one of the first fantasy worlds I learned to know when I was kid.

Now... When will heroes meet Drizzt? ;)

A fine session I must add. It was fun to play again after a long break. Good situations within the game and the players grasped hold of the game quite quickly.

Maybe next time, they won't forgot i.e. familiar sorcerer had but didn't remember to use etc :P

[...] Our Forgotten Realms campaign kicked of this Saturday with classic action in the realms. It has been over four months since I have had opportunity to have some fun around the table. Teaching new players to play forced me to check from the books few times, but other than that, the players learned fast and the game mechanics became familiar quite quickly. This marks the beginning of our Threads of Sanity -campaign. (Details about the characters can be found here): [...]

Small correction: Michael Tummelhofer is Bernd Brunnhofer. As Brunnhofer works at Hans im Glück, he cooked up the pseudonym for his first release (St. Petersburg). Michael comes from Michael Bruinsma (999 Games), Tummel from Jay Tummelson (Rio Grande Games) and hofer from Brunnhofer.

The art is cool, but it also screams "MICHAEL MENZEL!" - his style is great, but now that just about every game is done by Menzel, it's suffering from a bit of an inflation - kind of like Franz Vohwinkel art before him.

[...] The last board game review was about the two-player game Lord Of The Rings: The Confrontation. Since the game was a big success at our home, I decided that there is always room for more board games in my cupboard. The lates additions are Odin’s Table and A Touch of Evil. Today we concentrate on Odin’s Table. [...]

I will be playing Jonas and his origin is indeed in Longsaddle. I haven't yet stumbled upon any information (and my 4th ed. knowledge is quite limited also) regarding the fate of Harpell family after the Spellplague, but I sure hope those resilient Harpells are (mostly) ok.
